Field Notes
a small letter
Hello, you —
we are so glad you wandered in.
We make wedding photographs and quiet little films for couples who would rather feel a thing than be told what to feel. The way we work is the way we would want our own day to be photographed — softly, attentively, never in the way.
Twelve years in, this is still the only job I can imagine having. So please look around. Make yourself at home. And when you are ready, write us a small note — we promise to write back.
— Darshan
Plate II · Photographs
The day,
held very still.
“If you only ever look once, look closely. The day is hidden in the small things — the way her father's hand trembled as he gave her away, the second she found her own breath again at the altar.”
— A note from the studio

Plate III · Moving Image
A film
that plays forever.
for the parts a still cannot quite hold
The way your friend ran the entrance. Your father's voice on the toast. The first three notes of your song. We score every wedding film by hand, so the day you sit down to watch it — five, ten, thirty years from now — it sounds and feels exactly like the room you were standing in.
Plate IV · The Promise
We will turn up early.
We will stay until the last sparkler.
We will catch the moments
you didn't know we caught.
on every wedding day, without exception

Honestly the dream crew — they went far beyond what we hoped for
Darshan and his team had a way of making every single event feel easy, even joyful, and honestly we had more fun with them around than we would have without. The photos and the film left us speechless. Since we were planning everything from another country, their organization was a lifesaver, and the way they kept their cool through all the happy chaos of the weekend made such a difference.
